Waterford Green is fulfilling its promise as a complete lifestyle community.
Lombard North Group has completed the design of the final phase of Waterford Green, and construction is set to begin this fall on the Village Centre.
The summer of 2016 saw significant changes, starting with the addition of the Waterford Lake Parkway trails and play areas. Waterford Green's developer, Terrascape, in partnership with the City of Winnipeg led the upgrading of Dr. Jose Rizal Way to a "boulevard street," complete with separate bike lanes and sidewalks connecting the community with the adjoining neighbourhoods of Meadows West and Mandalay West.

Winnipeg School Division has acquired approximately nine acres within Waterford Green on the south side of Jefferson Avenue, and in June 2016 received zoning approval from the City of Winnipeg for a nursery to Grade 8 elementary school.
In September, home builders will begin single-family home construction in Phase 3B, the last phase of Waterford Green north of Jefferson, and semi-attached home construction south of Jefferson Avenue in Phase 3A, fronting the western extension of Commonwealth Avenue.

Phase 4A, located between Commonwealth Avenue and the Winnipeg School Division lands, represents the last phase of Waterford Green. Services are presently being installed to ready Phase 4A for building permits in 2017, providing a selection of 27 walkout lots on the west side of Waterford Lake and a mix of 133 single-family lots.
Waterford Green has successfully integrated a variety of housing options in a planned setting, creating a walkable community that meets the lifestyle needs of new homeowners, growing families with children, empty-nesters and seniors.
Sidewalks, trails and bike paths connect people with schools, recreation areas, parks, public transit and the Village Centre.

With this achievement the development team has met one of its key goals: creating a community that excels at serving the needs of its residents.
