For the longest time, a section of land on Pipeline Road just east of Court Avenue sat in limbo with no one knowing what to do with the three older homes that occupied it.
Then, about a year ago, the land came to the attention of Streetside Developments. After a quick look, they determined it would be perfect for an infill condominium development.
Today, the homes are gone, and Amber Grove Condominiums sits proudly on the land, offering a wonderful selection of bungalow and townhome condominiums to Amber Trails residents.
The sales representative for the new development, Anita Sharma-Turner of RE/MAX Associates, says the project has been well-received.
"Right now, we’re about 65 per cent sold," she says. "Streetside has put together a really good project with several different floor plans that appeal to a wide variety of home buyers."
In fact, the new condominium community has been so popular that just one unit in phase one is left for sale.
Selection is the reason for Amber Grove’s popularity, notes Sharma-Turner.
"You can either get a bungalow or townhome, some units come with garages, some without. All have basements, and feature floor plans that are well-thought-out and very livable. They’ve been popular with everyone, from singles to families and empty nesters and first-time buyers."

As impressive as the natural light and volume is, the separation between spaces — the living room, dining room and kitchen — is just as, if not more, impressive.
Each space is a generous size, providing plenty of room in the living room for furniture and a TV, dining room table (in the centre) that comfortably seats six — and an exceptionally spacious kitchen.
"The layout is excellent," she says. "You never feel like space is lacking in any of the units. The peninsula-style kitchen has an eating area for four, and offers plenty of space to move around and make meals. The finishes — quartz countertops, white cabinets, a grey octagonal backsplash and laminate flooring — are beautiful. The countertops and backsplash are upgrades."
Meanwhile, the Bayberry’s floor plan also shines.
Featuring a split design, the primary suite was set on one side of the great room in its own private spot to the left of the kitchen, while the second bedroom was placed in a compact wing on the right side along with a four-piece bath and two closets.
