More than 110 stunning new show homes will be featured in the Fall Parade of Homes.

It’s hard to believe that we are only four weeks away from the 2020 Fall Parade of Homes.

The Manitoba Home Builders’ Association’s Parade of Homes is the signature showcase event for Manitoba’s residential construction industry, providing Manitobans interested in building their new dream home an opportunity and experience unlike any other available in Canada.

The MHBA’s 2020 Fall Parade of Homes starts on Sat., Sept. 12 and runs until Oct. 10. People are expected to visit show homes in many of Manitoba’s newest neighbourhoods to learn about the latest trends in new home and interior design, the hottest new home technology and building materials, and to potentially find their new dream home.

Visits to our Parade Show Homes will work a bit differently than usual. Increased health and safety measures, as well as adhering to physical distancing and sanitation guidelines, are necessary for everyone at this time for the protection of those working in or visiting builder show homes. These measures are in place to allow you to continue to visit these amazing show homes in as safe an environment as possible.

This year, we are proud to be celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Parade of Homes in its current format. In 1980, the Parade of Homes as we know it today came into being. Unlike earlier parades which were limited to a single subdivision, the MHBA introduced a new parade concept where show homes would be on display throughout Winnipeg. During that first year of the new concept, 12 builders entered 29 homes.

Our parade continues to be the biggest and best parade in Canada. This fall there will be more than 110 unique new homes on display. When one considers that some of the larger parades in other Canadian cities range around 30 display homes, having over 110 different options available to visit — each one with its own layout, materials, finishes and designs — means our parade gives Manitoba homebuyers a unique opportunity to see and experience the widest variety of home-building options in an actual home setting. An opportunity and showcase of this scope and size is uniquely Manitoban.

The MHBA’s Fall Parade of Homes will provide homebuyers with the chance for to see first-hand the latest work by 28 of Manitoba’s leading home-building companies. It is also a great chance to check out and explore many of Manitoba’s newest neighbourhoods. This year’s Fall Parade will again feature show homes in 30 of Manitoba’s newest communities and neighbourhoods. Finding out which community has the right set of amenities and services that best fit your family can be just as important as finding which new home design is the right one for you.

In just four weeks, the best of the best of Manitoba’s new home construction will once again be on display. Look for the Fall Parade of Homes magazine in the September 12 edition of the Free Press and at any Steinbach Credit Union. Our magazine not only provides the details on our show homes, but also contains great articles and features on the latest trends in home-building and home design.

In the next few weeks you can also visit our Parade of Homes page at the MHBA website at: for more information on each of the show home listings. And be sure to follow the MHBA on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook for the latest Parade news, to enter fun contests, and for featured show homes throughout the fall. MHBA builders are looking forward to seeing you and welcoming you to your new home.
