On May 9, the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association hosted its annual RenoMark Renovation of the Year Awards.
These annual awards recognize the best of the best renovation projects undertaken in Manitoba over the past year. This year’s entries were featured in seven different categories: Additions, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Whole House, Outdoor Structures, Exteriors and Basement. Each projected nominated for the RenoMark Renovation Awards is a stunning display of what professional renovators can do in terms of updating and upgrading your home.
This year, we featured 72 different projects by 15 outstanding MHBA RenoMark renovators; renovators who follow the highest professional standards in Canada. These local renovation projects will undoubtedly give you inspiration for your own home renovation project or, at the very least, start you thinking about what you could be doing to upgrade your home.
Four of these amazing projects by Manitoba renovators were also recognized as some of the very best home renovations in Canada. Alair Homes (Brandon) was a Canadian Home Builders’ Association’s National Award finalist in the “Best Whole Home Renovation $500,001 to $800,000” category for its “Wasagaming Lakefront Renovation” project. Harwood Design Builders were national finalists in the “Best Whole Home Renovation $300,001-$500,000” category for its “Cozy Countryside Remodel” project. Two MHBA renovators, Creative Design Contractors and Make it Home Ltd. were national finalists in the “Best Basement Renovation” category. It is a tremendous accomplishment to be recognized for our industry’s national awards and it showcases the great work done by professional renovators right here at home. The MHBA is very proud that four of our renovator members have been recognized nationally for their incredible projects.
This continues to be a great time to get that home renovation project underway. Whether it’s something that you have been longing to improve in your kitchen or you have a bathroom that needs updating, Manitobans continue to make record levels of investments into their homes. Many of us love our neighbourhood and love our house, but we also feel that we need change. Maybe the colours and styles are a bit outdated. You may feel that traffic flow or entertaining guests is encumbered by a bevy of walls and rooms, and it’s time to open things up. Maybe there’s a reason no one goes down into the basement anymore. Or maybe you need more room for a growing family. An addition is like creating a whole new living space; a whole new lifestyle for your family without the hassles associated with moving.
If you are considering a home renovation, look to the standards and practices of a professional MHBA RenoMark renovator.
