Those unable to visit show homes during the Fall Parade of Homes still have the opportunity to see the beautiful homes by contacting builders directly to inquire about dropping in.

When this year’s Parade of Homes kicked off on Sept. 12, our weather still had a summer tinge to it.

With the change in the weather also comes the official end of the 2020 Fall Parade of Homes which wraps up today. But that doesn’t mean your chance to visit Manitoba’s newest and finest show homes will end this afternoon as well. Almost all the show homes that have been part of this fall’s Parade will remain open for viewing well after the Parade of Homes ends.

MHBA builders have continued to see outstanding crowds visiting the 113 new homes entered in this year’s Fall Parade of Homes and they thank you for following the safety precautions they put in place for everyone’s safety.

This year’s entrants certainly did not disappoint, providing an amazing collection of design, style, quality, craftsmanship and choice for viewing during the Parade.

Our Fall and Spring Parades of Homes are showcase events hosted by the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association that demonstrate the best the new home-building industry has to offer. Whether one is in the market for a new home, considering a change or just looking for ideas for their current home, no other Parade of Homes in Canada provides the opportunity for people to experience such a collection of new home concepts, features and decor.

For those who weren’t able to visit show homes during the Parade, you still have plenty of opportunities to visit these beautiful homes. Many of the show homes entered in the Parade are open year-round for viewing. The hours may be slightly different than during the Parade, but the sales representatives in the new homes are still available to help you with your search for the perfect home. So, if you need to take another look at a couple of homes before making your decision, they are open and ready to welcome you.

A digital version of the Fall Parade magazine is available at the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association website at homebuilders.mb.ca and will remain there right up until 2021’s Spring Parade. All the show homes are featured on our Parade of Homes website along with the contact information for each show-home builder so you can connect with them directly to inquire about visiting your favourites, even after the Parade has ended.

We also look forward to announcing the 2020 Fall Parade of Home winning entries in the Oct. 24 edition of the Winnipeg Free Press! Watch for the winners to also be featured on the MHBA website and through our Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts. We will be celebrating the best of the best in new home construction and we encourage you to see if your favourite Parade home is an award-winner this year.

We would love to have you visit the various show homes today, 1-5 p.m., but if you were unable to get there during the Fall Parade, the homes will still be open afterwards. We look forward to seeing you at the Fall Parade of Homes today!

Lanny McInnes is president of the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association.
