Quality, Comfort & Design

In the ultra-competitive world of condominium developments, you don't win awards for no reason.

Over the past number of years, The Oxbow on the Seine — a premium condominium development by Towers Realty Group — has won a number of Gold and Silver Parade of Homes awards.

Now, that proven, award-winning quality has come to the Oxbow of Tuxedo Point.

"Without question, our top priority has always been quality," said Towers' marketing and customer service manager, Jason van Rooy. "With The Oxbow on the Seine — and now Oxbow of Tuxedo Point — that quality starts at ground level and continues on up and through each building. Not all condominium developments are created equal. Both The Oxbow on the Seine and Oxbow of Tuxedo Point are a cut above the rest due to the way they've been built."

Unlike a high percentage of new condominium developments, both Oxbow projects aren't wood frame. Rather, buildings are constructed of steel and concrete, featuring pre-cast concrete piles, a concrete foundation and hollow-core floors supported on insulated concrete form (ICF) and masonry block walls.

"Our construction method creates buildings that are long-lasting, safe and quiet," said van Rooy. "ICF construction makes for buildings that are extremely energy-efficient and very quiet, as the concrete walls, along with hollow-core floors, dramatically reduces noise transference between suites and common areas. The suites at Oxbow of Tuxedo Point, like the suites at The Oxbow on the Seine, are much quieter than a comparable wood frame suite."

At the same time, quality components such as triple pane, low-E Argon-filled windows will keep annoying exterior noises where they belong — outside. They will also keep suites warm in winter and cool during summer months.

"Energy bills will be low and comfort levels will be high at Oxbow of Tuxedo Point," he said. "Not only are suites energy-efficient, they also have their own individual heating and cooling systems. Fresh Air is circulated throughout buildings to ensure a constant air flow — a great feature for those who struggle with allergies."

Suite interiors at Oxbow of Tuxedo Point will also feature the same exceptional floor plans and finishing quality showcased at The Oxbow on the Seine, added van Rooy.

"The suites range in size from 793 sq. ft., one bedroom/one bathroom suites to 1,493 sq. ft. suites with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a den," he said. "Each suite features a bright, open-concept design with nine-foot ceilings (10 feet in penthouse suites) and large windows that let in tons of natural light."

Like The Oxbow on the Seine, high-quality finishes such as engineered hardwood floors and granite or quartz countertops will be standard, he added.

"All the finishes you see in the show suite are included in the purchase price of a suite — they're not upgrades. Engineered hardwood floors (dark or light) run through the kitchen, dining room, living room and den; kitchens are finished with maple cabinets and granite or quartz countertops. Our job here is to make every purchase as easy as possible. Including those finishes as standard suite features helps accomplish that goal."

By the same token, if purchasers want to personalize their suite to suit their exact tastes, that's not an issue.

"We are currently previewing our next phase at our Tuxedo development. Purchasers there will be more than welcome to select their own flooring, countertops and cabinets," van Rooy said. "However, most buyers tend to go with our standard finishes because they're so good. Suites also come equipped with stainless steel appliances in the kitchen including over-the-range microwave, and a stackable washer and dryer in the laundry room."

Each suite at Oxbow of Tuxedo Point also comes with a large, covered patio or balcony, individually-metered 100-amp panel, on-site storage locker and indoor, heated or serviced covered parking stall. Residents can also enjoy on-site amenities such as the common room with kitchenette and fitness equipment, terrace and two-piece bathroom.

"We're very excited about the quality and value that Oxbow of Tuxedo Point offers," he said. "Pricing is affordable, starting in the mid-$200's for a one-bedroom suite, including parking — great value for first time buyers. And the overall quality of the buildings and suites are much greater compared to most of the other developments out there."
