New Homes

Spring Parade of Homes kicks off next weekend

Todd Lewys / Winnipeg Free Press

The Manitoba Home Builders’ Association will be featuring almost 100 stunning new show homes in the upcoming Spring Parade of Homes.

Next Saturday, Manitoba’s best home builders will begin a three week showcase of 99 new show homes during the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association’s 2021 Spring Parade of Homes. From February 27 to March 21, people will have the chance to see the latest trends in home building design offered by Manitoba’s best new home builders.

For those looking at buying a new home, the Parade is the perfect way to see the best in today’s new housing market. Not only does this year’s Spring parade again feature show homes in many of Winnipeg’s newest neighborhoods, there are also great show homes for viewing in communities outside the Perimeter. The 2021 Spring Parade of Homes is truly a Manitoba-wide event!

This Spring Parade of Homes will have to be a bit different due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Our builder members have put measures in place to make the visiting experience during the Parade of Homes as safe as possible for their guests and their staff. These measures are in place to ensure that anyone visiting our builders’ show homes are doing so as safely as possible. Masks or face coverings are required to be worn by anyone visiting a show home. All visitors will be required to answer pre-screening questions and to sanitize their hands upon entering a home. Show homes are frequently sanitized and access to show homes is limited to ensure proper social distancing takes place while you are visiting the show homes.

Visitors should also be aware that each Parade show home’s capacity will be limited to a maximum of four visitors at a time. While this may mean it may take a bit longer to visit your favorite Parade show homes, these steps are being implemented to help ensure that your visit is a safe as possible. Parade Show homes are available to visit by booking an appointment with the builder outside of the Parade hours and we encourage you to book a viewing by appointment to give yourself plenty of time to ask the show home agent questions about the home and neighbourhood.

Be sure to look for #PARADEOFHOMESMB and follow the MHBA on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook as we will be featuring each of the participating MHBA builders who together are presenting 99 show homes in this year’s Spring Parade. Look for the 2021 Spring Parade of Homes Magazine in your Winnipeg Free Press home delivery next Saturday. You can also pick up a copy at any Steinbach Credit Union and a digital copy is available at homebuilders.mb.ca. Visiting the MHBA website will also provide you with more details on each Parade show home and connect you with your favorite show home’s builder to schedule a private viewing.

You never know. You could just fall in love with one of the homes you see or a neighbourhood you visit and decide that a new home is right for you.

Lanny McInnes is president of the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association.
