The dining and kitchen area are perfectly suited for entertaining.

Luxury doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, a home tends to be more luxurious when restraint is applied to its overall design. If done right everything comes together to create a refined, functional feel throughout the entire home.

That’s exactly the type of home 7 Tanager Tr. is, says the sales representative for Artista Homes’ 2021 Spring Parade of Homes entry in Sage Creek, Rheanne Unryn of RE/MAX Executives Realty.

"It’s a beautifully-designed home," she says of the 1,910 square-foot, three-bedroom, two-bathroom bungalow, situated on a pristine lakefront lot. "The layout is exceptional and the finishes are elegant and well-placed. It also features large windows that let in lots of natural light and provide beautiful lake views."

There, right in front of you, is the lake in all its serene splendour.

"The lake view from the family room is just spectacular," says Unryn. "A pair of huge windows on its rear wall provide a panoramic view of the water, and let in lots of natural light. A 100-inch ribbon fireplace with a grey-painted surround and black, panelled feature wall adds a touch of modern style to the space along with a black ceiling fan on the ceiling above."

Turns out, the fabulous living room is just the start of a subtly spectacular great room. Angle to the left, and you encounter a kitchen/dining area that builds on the free, easy-living feel.

Set next to a triple-wide patio door that leads out to a covered balcony that overlooks the lake, the expandable dining room possesses a serene, solarium like feel thanks to the lake view and all the natural light that pours into it.

Then, there’s the kitchen. A modern marvel, it’s at once functional and eye-catching.

"It’s a magnificent space — there’s ample room to create and cook, and with its nine-foot island, serving bar with sink and big dining area, it’s perfect for entertaining. It also has a walk-through pantry that allows you to bring groceries directly in from the garage."

Unryn adds the kitchen’s finishes are exquisite.

"The combination of whites, off-whites and greys is amazing," she says. "The island starts it off with its grey base and off-white quartz countertop. The matte white cabinets and drawers down low contrast perfectly with a textured, charcoal tile backsplash and light grey Euro cabinets, while the stainless appliances fit beautifully with the white/grey colour scheme."

Thankfully, Artista’s design team didn’t forget about the home’s layout.

Featuring a split plan — the two secondary bedrooms and main bath are situated in a semi-enclosed wing to the left of the foyer, while the master suite is tucked away in the opposite corner of the home behind the family room — the bright, airy bungalow was designed to suit either a family, or empty nest couple.

"Everyone who’s gone through the home loves the layout," Unryn says. "The two secondary bedrooms are separated from the entertaining spaces, a feature that would work well for kids or guests who go to bed while mom and dad are still visiting with people in the great room."

The home’s main floor is then completed by a sensational master suite that’s nestled neatly in a private little nook to the right of the family room.

"It’s a cosy, relaxing space that offers a beautiful lake view, and elegant ensuite that can be closed off from the bedroom by a barn-style door. The ensuite is a spa-like space that comes with a huge soaker tub, custom shower, gorgeous taupe tile floor, dual vanities separated by a storage tower and big walk-in closet with lots of built-in storage."

Finally, there’s the walk-out lower level.

"A wall of windows on its rear wall provides another amazing view of the lake, while 1,700 sq. ft. of livable space would allow you to put in a rec room, games room, playroom/gym, fourth bedroom and full bath," notes Unryn. "A patio door on the rear wall also leads out to a covered patio that looks out onto a professionally-landscaped backyard and the lake."

She adds that simplicity is the key to the home’s incredible combination of style and comfort.

"Nothing in the design of the home was forced. Everything just ties together so nicely, from the layout to the finishes. The end result is a livable, luxurious home."
