Passport to Adventure

Many people plan their weekends around the Spring Parade of Homes. This year, there’s a great incentive to plan weekday excursions, when show homes are less crowded and sales agents have more time to answer your questions about special features and options.

Tear out the Parade Passport inserted in the pages of the Spring Parade of Homes and collect a builder stamp at 10 show homes you visit from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday for a chance to win a seven-night AmaWaterways luxury river cruise through France sponsored by CAA Manitoba Travel Services, plus a $1,500 airfare credit.

AmaWaterways’ state-of-the-art cruise liners offer luxury staterooms with in-room entertainment systems, high-speed Internet and premium amenities including a sundeck with whirlpool or swimming pool and swim up bar. Choose from excursion options that include biking and hiking tours, then enjoy nightly entertainment and multiple complimentary dining venues, where fine wines and local beers are included with lunch and dinner.

Cruise dates are available in July, August and November 2016.

There are three itineraries to choose from, each featuring an optional land program in Paris:

• The Paris & Normandy seven-night cruise roundtrip from Paris on the Seine includes visits to Normandy beaches, museums and Claude Monet’s former home and gardens.
• The Provence & Spain seven-night cruise from Lyon to Arles (or reverse) on the Rhone features a tour of the asylum where Vincent Van Gogh painted famous works such as Starry Night, along with a visit to the famous wine region of Beaujolais.
• The Taste of Bordeaux seven-night cruise roundtrip from Bordeaux on the Garonne and Dordogne rivers includes wine tastings at a cave in historic St. Émilion. Pair this cruise with a two-night pre-cruise package in Paris or two-nights in the Loire Valley plus one night in the City of Light.

Passport stamps are only available Monday through Thursday. The contest deadline is noon on March 29, 2016. Drop off your passport at any Steinbach Credit Union, the Winnipeg Free Press, the Manitoba Home Builders’ Association office, or mail it to I-1420 Clarence Ave., Winnipeg, MB, R3T 1T6.
