Well, the SunStick will tell you. It's a little tiny stick that you put out in the yard and it changes colour to tell you whether you're full sun or shade or whatever, You can have one for indoor and outdoor; it takes the guesswork out of it.

Made in Canada from recycled plastic, this tumbler makes composting easy. The tumbler acts like a big drum that aerates your mix.
STONEWARE PLANT MARKERS, $19.95 (SET OF FOUR)
These pre-printed markers are a step above traditional markers in both form and function. With the ceramic markers, you don't have to worry about names coming off.
LEATHER ROSE GLOVES ($32.50)
Made out of leather, the new lines of rose gloves are good for anything prickly. Thicker and softer than previous types, they're also handwashable.
GRANDPA'S WEEDER, $24.99
While not exactly state-of-the-art, this tool is a classic. The three-foot (90-centimetre) stick has a fork and footpad lever on one end so you can pull weeds without having to get down on your hands and knees
