Murphy’s Oil Soap and hot water will help rid a shipping container of terrible smells, no matter the origin.
Question: Would you know of a good solution to remove a putrid smell out of a wood floor in a steel sea can (shipping container) from China? Something must have spilled before we purchased it.

Answer: The quickest solution is to clean the floor with Murphy’s Oil Soap and hot water.
Question: Any suggestions for a homemade foot powder? I am on a fixed income and need something fast and dirt cheap.

Answer: Combine 50/50 cornstarch and baking soda and rub it onto feet. For a bonus, reduce foot odour by soaking your feet in warm tea. In other words, make a cup of tea to drink and another one for your feet.
Great uses for everyday stuff
Your dog just returned from a brisk run around the yard, he smells bad and company is on the way over. Sprinkle your loveable family member (the dog, not your spouse) with baking soda. Rub it into his fur to reduce odors.
Give your cakes that professional bakery finish. After icing a cake or cupcake, with buttercream icing. Heat the icing with a hairdryer on low setting, the dessert will display a glossy finish.
When brown sugar ends up as hard as a rock, soften it with this easy solution. Wrap the brown sugar in aluminum foil and place it in a dish and into the oven for five minutes at about 325 F. Soft and good as new!
Next time you run out of eye make-up remover, try one of the following: the oil from an avocado, hair conditioner or baby oil.
