Oprah always had her "favourite things" show every year so I thought I'd do the same with some of the items I love. While I can't give away cars, I have managed to gather some gifts you can win as you read on. Wicker World
I love this store. It's a real Winnipeg treasure that has been around for decades. I'm always intrigued at the unique and versatile décor items that are available. If you haven't been there yet, it's worth a look. Dollar stores
Dollar stores are the best place to stretch your decorating dollars for niggling things such as decorative containers, organizers, beads and bobbles etc. When you want to adorn a lampshade or toss cushion, for example, the first place I'd shop at is a dollar store. My favourite place to shop anytime is a thrift store. Whether I'm looking for something specific or just need inspiration, a local thrift store is where you'll find me. My favourite paint colour
My favourite paint colour so far is Dulux's May Yellow. It's the colour we used in the living/dining room and kitchen of our new condo and I love it more every day. It's the perfect yellow; not too citrus, not too pale. It looks great when the sun is shining but also is lovely in the evening. Dulux Paints is offering a chance to win a $100 gift card. This store is fairly new to Winnipeg and I found tons of great stuff for a great price while shopping for our new condo. From curtain panels to area rugs, this place carries tons of unique and affordable accessories. It's a big place so wear comfortable footwear.
