Located on the top floor of Stonecrest Condominiums in Lindenwoods, the 1,494 sq. ft. suite offers the style and livability of a single-family home.

Tucked away off the kitchen, a roomy flex space with built-in desk makes a perfect home office and has a patio door with access to a covered balcony.

Beautifully upgraded with quartz countertops, a stainless backsplash and high-end stainless Electrolux appliances, the island kitchen is loaded.

An upgraded entertainment unit with a gas fireplace set in a stone surround is the anchor point of the cosy living room.

When people consider buying an apartment-style condominium, they tend to have a couple of factors in mind.

First, such a condo, when compared to a single-family home, is more affordable — which instantly makes it worthy of consideration.

However, with limited square footage and everything on one level, they also realize they re compromising livability for affordability.

While that’s often the case, a spacious top-floor unit found at 260 Fairhaven Rd. in Lindenwoods features a well-thought-out design that endows it with the style and livability of a single-family home, says Lori Hopfner of Royal LePage Dynamic Realty.

"I think the feature that sets this suite apart from others is its fantastic layout and square footage," she says. "At 1,494 sq. ft., it’s as big as many bungalows. And its layout is really good, too. It really lives like a house, so you’re not compromising anything."

Indeed, there are no compromises here, starting with the building’s design. Comprised of concrete and steel, it’s solid, and, above all, quiet. A wide hallway with a staggered door design (no unit doors are directly across from each other) also reduces noise transfer.

Then, there’s the suite itself.

Right off the hop, its spacious design comes to the fore.

Flanked by a huge laundry room and double closet, the foyer is generous, offering plenty of space to dispense with coats and footwear.

The foyer then transitions smoothly into a wide hallway that leads to a well-appointed four-piece bath and a large secondary bedroom at its endpoint.

From there, the hallway opens magnificently onto a sensational, open-concept main living area with gorgeous cappuccino maple hardwoods.

Essentially divided into four spaces — dining room, living room, kitchen and a cool flex space — it has a distinct house-like feel.

"This is where the suite’s layout really shines," says Hopfner. "The dining room is spacious and modern, the living room, with its fireplace set in cultured stone, and surrounded by a cappuccino maple entertainment unit, is warm and spacious, and the kitchen is simply gorgeous."

Once again, there are no compromises to be found.

The recently remodeled island kitchen comes equipped with quartz countertops, a stainless backsplash, a quartet of high-end stainless Electrolux appliances and tons of cappuccino-stained maple cabinets.

Turns out, there’s more.

Not only is there a dinette area next to the kitchen that seats four, but a flex space was carved cleverly into the corner to the left of the kitchen.

"It’s just an incredible area," she says. "There’s a built-in quartz desk with cabinets above, a large window on its side wall that lets in lots of daylight, and a patio door on its rear wall that allows you to access a covered balcony. It’s a perfect spot for a home office."

Hopfner adds that the primary bedroom — which is nestled neatly in its own private spot between the dining room and living room — is a perfect spot to retire to at the end of a long day.

"Not only is it a good size, but it also comes with a beautiful tray ceiling, large walk-in closet with built-in storage, and a three-piece ensuite with walk-in shower, maple vanity with quartz countertop and tile floor."

Add in plenty of amenities and an excellent location, and you have a livable, stylish condo that lacks nothing.

"Amenities include a well-equipped gym, common room, library and indoor parking with an additional electrified surface stall," she notes. "You also get your own storage room, and a location that’s close to shopping, restaurants, services and transit. This is a fantastic condo in every way."
