Over the past decade or so, an increasing number of people have chosen to build luxury homes in south Charleswood.
In particular, many opt to build on Liberty Street due to its close proximity to Kenaston Avenue, its huge lots and its serene, countrified atmosphere.
And while many of the homes on the street are newer, there are also some older homes that populate the quiet, isolated roadway.
One of those homes, a sprawling two-storey home at 1314 Liberty St., built in 1987, was completely remodelled from 2017 to 2019, says Dean Fletcher of Century 21 Carrie Realty.
"It was actually overhauled by the outgoing owners so that one of their parents could come to live with them," he says.
