Cultured stone, acrylic stucco and Hardie board give this home tremendous curb appeal.

A grand staircase sweeps majestically down to a spacious foyer.

The kitchen features plenty of cabinet and counter space and a huge granite island.

The family room is a truly stunning space with its soaring vaulted ceiling and stone fireplace.

An illuminated tray ceiling adds a touch of class to the tranquil master suite.

On occasion, you come across a home with a design that’s so intricate you can’t believe what you’re seeing.

According to Glen Williams of The Glen Williams Team, a stately two-storey home at 64 Tangle Ridge Cres. in Linden Ridge is one such home.

"In my mind, this is a home that seems like it was dropped into Linden Ridge from Tuxedo," he says. "It was built in 2006 by Sapphire Homes. They didn’t build a ton of homes, but when they did, the quality of the design and craftsmanship was simply incredible."

Williams says that high level of quality starts with the home’s exterior.

"A stamped concrete driveway and an exterior that features a beautiful blend of cultured stone, Hardie board and acrylic stucco gets the home off to an outstanding start. The best part is that it only gets better from there."

You’re greeted by grandeur the instant you step inside.

"The home’s entryway is just grand with its gorgeous, curved staircase with custom railing, soaring ceiling and beautiful chandelier," Williams says. "The quality of the woodwork is incredible, and the beautifully crafted baseboards and door trim you see throughout the home is amazing."

So too is the home’s layout.

First, there’s the main floor, which is subtly divided into three sections: an island kitchen to the right and a formal dining room and family room (to the right and left respectively) that are neatly separated from the kitchen by a three-foot-wide wall with arched entrances on either side.

"Its an ingenious floor plan," he says. "The kitchen comes with a massive granite island that seats three, loads of maple cabinets, granite countertops, a gorgeous tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances. The doorway behind it takes you into the dining room, which features a tray ceiling, room for a table for eight to 10 and a patio door that leads out to the backyard."

The space to the left adds a welcome touch of style, volume and drama, says Williams.

"This is one of the nicest family rooms I’ve ever seen with its vaulted ceiling and gorgeous stone gas fireplace that’s surrounded by huge windows. It offers just the perfect blend of warmth and light with its cinnamon-stained hardwoods and the huge windows letting in just the right amount of natural light."

Next comes a welcome departure from most two-storey floor plans: a main floor master suite.

"I just love how it’s tucked away off the family room," he says. "Not only is it a very private space, but it’s accessible, with no stairs to climb."

A quick look inside reveals a spacious, tranquil bedroom and a well-appointed ensuite.

"Large windows on either side of the bed let in plenty of natural light, yet maintain privacy," says Williams. "An illuminated tray ceiling above adds a touch of class, while the spa-inspired ensuite offers a gorgeous tile floor, soaker tub, four-foot shower and maple vanity with his/her sinks and a make-up station. There’s also a large walk-in closet."

Head upstairs via the sweeping, rock-solid staircase, and you find a huge, balcony-like landing with sitting area with a pair of large bedrooms on either side.

"Its design is such that the kids have their own floor. Both bedrooms are huge, and the view down to the family room is absolutely stunning."

Last but not least, there’s the finished basement, which holds a huge rec room with a media area, wine bar, games area, exercise space, fourth bedroom and lavish three-piece bath.

"It’s a beautifully finished, wide-open area that features steel beam construction and a structural wood floor," he says. "The wine bar is simply amazing with its stainless steel peninsula, granite countertops and wealth of cabinetry. There’s tons of storage space, too."

Last but not least, there’s the backyard.

"Over $120,000 was spent to create a dream backyard. It offers an in-ground pool with waterfall, hot tub, three-season gazebo, patio and brick fireplace."

Anyone looking for a move-in-ready, luxury home in a great location should take a look at 64 Tangle Ridge, says Williams.

"You just can’t beat the home’s location, it’s on a quiet crescent in Linden Ridge close to all kinds of amenities on Kenaston Boulevard and Pembina Highway. The home is stunning and wonderfully designed, and you’re on a massive lot with your own resort-like backyard," he says. "It’s just an incredible home from start to finish."
