With its newer exterior, fresh windows, white garage door and sharp white trim, this home possesses immense curb appeal.

The sitting room is a versatile space that could also be used as an office or bedroom.

The peninsula kitchen offers the modern style and function families expect and need.

The ensuite offers a heated tile floor, stand-alone soaker tub, five-foot tiled shower and walk-in closet with loads of storage.

The light-filled master suite provides a private atmosphere parents will appreciate.

No matter what street you travel down there always seems to be one home that stands above the rest.

That’s the case with this spacious two-storey home in La Salle, says David Phillips of Century 21 Carrie Realty.

"It’s just a stunning home," he says. "It has all newer windows on the front, and when you combine them with an upgraded Hardie board siding exterior, you get a home that has immense curb appeal. Even though it’s 25 years old, it doesn’t look its age."

Not surprisingly, that crisp, fresh look carries inside.

The walnut-stained oak hardwoods are pristine, the colour palette, which is grey/white with a little aquamarine in the dining room for an extra splash of style, is contemporary, and large, well-placed windows allow all kinds of natural light to fill the home.

Clearly, this is a home in which the outgoing owners have taken much pride.

"It’s in excellent condition from top to bottom," says Phillips. "Take the hardwoods, for example, they’re in fantastic shape. Everything is in like-new condition."

And while the home is a quarter-of-a-century-old, it still feels contemporary.

"For a 1995 build, I’d say the layout has transferred well. The home starts off with a wide foyer with a beautiful sitting room with vaulted ceiling to its right," he says. "It could also be used as an office or as a bedroom."

From there, a wide landing transitions smoothly into a wide-open main living area that holds three distinct spaces: a dinette area in its centre, kitchen to its left and subtly-sunken family room to its right.

"The layout flows really well," says Phillips. "The kitchen flows nicely into the formal dining room across the way, and into the dinette area and family room. There’s also an area to the rear of the kitchen with a powder room, laundry room and mudroom off the garage."

At the same time, the great room impresses with its function and natural brightness.

The spacious peninsula kitchen offers a breakfast bar for two, granite countertops, a plethora of white cabinets, white tile backsplash and newer stainless appliances.

Then, there’s the adjacent dinette area, defined by the peninsula to its left and a section of white railing to its right which is set next to patio doors that lead out to a composite backyard deck. The sunken family room then finishes off the great room with a seamless blend of style, function and countrified tranquility.

"I really like how all the glass on the rear wall — a big window over the double sink in the kitchen, the patio doors behind the dinette area and huge picture window on the family room’s rear wall let in so much natural light," he says. "Windows in the powder room and laundry room also let in extra light."

Phillips adds the main level’s high function quotient extends upstairs.

"With four bedrooms and a beautiful four-piece bath, it can easily handle the entire family. All three secondary bedrooms are a good size, while the master suite is the best spot in the house thanks to an ensuite renovation that’s to-die-for."

The renovation overlooked nothing.

There’s a heated tile floor that feels great underfoot, stand-alone soaker tub in its own private niche beneath a crystal chandelier and obscured glass window, five-foot tiled shower with rain shower head, birch-style vanity with quartz countertop — and an integrated walk-in closet with loads of storage.

"It’s a stunning space," says Phillips.

A fully-finished lower level completes the immaculate home.

"It offers loads of usable space including a large rec room with laminate plank flooring, den, another gorgeous bathroom and a dedicated storage room," he says. "When you include the basement, you get about 3,000 sq. ft. of total living space."

He adds that the like-new home is a must-see.

"It has everything a family needs — function, style, a huge backyard with deck, fire pit and patio looking out onto protected green space. It’s also in La Salle, a safe, quiet bedroom community that’s just a short drive from city conveniences. You really need to come out and see how much this home has to offer."
