Wolseley condominium a rare find

Looking for a condominium can be frustrating. Affordable condos are often found in so-so locations, while condos in great locations are often just too expensive.

While it is rare, affordable, well-located condos do come along every so often, according to Eric Neumann of Realty Executives First Choice.

"I just listed an affordable two-level, 1,091-square-foot condo," Neumann said.

"Best of all, it’s in Wolseley. It’s an extremely rare find, a condo that’s livable, reasonably-priced, and that offers a fabulous location set amid a canopy of trees in one of the city’s most sought-after neighbourhoods."

Perhaps the best thing about the unit is it doesn’t feel like a condo. That’s because it’s one of four units that occupy a stately Wolseley Classic on a large, well-treed lot on Dominion Street, Neumann said.

"It’s truly the best of Wolseley condo living. Not only are you in the midst of a residential area, but you’re also in a house. Put the two together, and you don’t feel like you’re living in a condo at all."

A front door with latticed, leaded glass centre and matching sidelights provides entry into a foyer with an enclosed stairway on the left-hand wall. The stairs then lead up to a private entrance on the second floor.

Although the home is more than 100 years old, the suite is anything but dated.
